The shining white buildings illustrate the very private process of De Portzamparc. The building program is decomposed and worked trough into its elements and reassembled into autonomous architectural fragments.

When Charlotte Perriand in October 1927 stepped into the studio in the Rue de Sèvres in Paris, she was told initially by Le Corbusier that he couldn’t offer her a knitting. However, she was accepted anyway. The collaboration with Le Corbusier and Jeanneret resulted in a series of furniture that are now called modern “classics”.

The exhibition “L’Aventure Le Corbusier 1827-1965” at the Centre Beaubourg in Paris covers the entire 5th floor and shows dozens of models, hundreds of photos and drawings, paintings and original documents.
This time no packed architectural program as in previous years, but a three-day trip with possibility to wander around.
