Conzett worked with Peter Zumthor and Gigon/Guyer. He gained international fame for a series of remarkable bridges (footbridges, car bridges). In Bruges he designed the Bridge over the Coupure.

Jürg Conzett is a Swiss engineer who among others worked with Peter Zumthor and Gigon and Guyer. He gained international fame with a series of remarkable bridges (footbridges, car bridges) , its structural sophistication and great command of steel, concrete and wood he puts into the development of new type surprising relationships between engineering and landscape yielded.

For the ‘Waterwegen en Zeewezen Flanders’ and Bruges 2002 Conzett realized the new footbridge over the denomination as a scenic ode to Bruges and a subtle demonstration of Swiss precision.
