Architecture Film Medley
In the context of Brussels Design September 2012 Archipel exhibits in collaboration with vola a homemade medley with film fragments of architectural scenes. Numerous buildings figure in movies as a background of a plot. Get a fragment of a city, a building, a room inseparably connected to certain scenes. What happens if the architecture itself becomes a protagonist? Can she be the result of the film? What does the choice of a location mean? How is architecture and city visualized in film? Are there close relationships between film and architecture?
Since the creation of the medium film, the immaterial architecture of film has played an important role in the way in which architecture and cities are proposed. We made a medley with unique film fragments, with architecture playing the lead, breaking serious fragments with ludic architectural intermezzo’s.
This medley will be played continuously in the showroom of VOLA.
