In the combination of architecture and celebration, space and time come together pre-eminently in a ritual, in a programme, in a scenography. How do we celebrate architecture in our city?

It’s our birthday and we’re celebrating! In 2025 Archipel will celebrate its 45th anniversary, which is why we will raise a glass to architecture (culture) in Ghent for twelve hours. It will be a true celebration of architecture, curated by Maarten Lambrechts and Pieter Dossche. The space will be filled with a temporary and changing scenography, specially designed for the day. This scenography will be occupied throughout the day by and with guests, architects, artists, musicians, a chef, a DJ…who will fill the place with music, performance, food, statements, toasts and celebration.

How has time directed and shifted Archipel’s focus? What should we be talking about today? What is the state of our architecture today?
