Trip

Stocklo

Stockholm & Oslo
26.05 31.05 2009
Sweden

In Oslo we are led by an impressive series of works by Arne Korsmo and Sverre Fehn. In Stockholm we see masterpieces by Asplund, Lewerentz and Celsing, and in Uppsala unexpectedly an Aalto. We also discover recent work of Snohetta, Kristin Jarmund, Jensen & Skodvin, Jarmund & Vigsnaes and Henning Larsen.

The destinations of the past architecture trips were very varied: from the cool Austrian mountain scenery and the flat countryside around Copenhagen and Malmö to the heat, the heat in California, Spain or Portugal. Alternately old, less-known architects and contemporary, hip (st)architects.

Opera Oslo – Snøhetta, 2008 bruno vanbesien

Our young team returned last summer to Scandinavia to continue the story of Copenhagen-Malmö. The first acquaintance with the work of Lewerentz and Celsing tasted more clearly. In Oslo Arnout led by an impressive series of works by Arne Korsmo and Sverre Fehn. After a trip on the night train, they found in Stockholm masterpieces Asplund, Lewerentz and Celsing. Uppsala unexpected Aalto. Also, recent work by Snohetta, Kristin Jarmund, Jensen & amp; SKODVIN, Jarmund & amp; Vigsnaes and Henning Larsen was able to convince them.

But above all the atmosphere and the quality of life in Oslo and Stockholm made an unforgettable impression: the smaller, very quiet around the Oslo fjord across from the bustling Stockholm, spread out over an endless series of islands.
