Govaert & Vanhoutte
Govaert Vanhoutte is a Belgian architectural office founded in 1989 in Bruges.
Benny Govaert (°Bruges, 1962) studied architecture at the Higher Institute of Architecture of the City of Ghent (1985) and obtained a degree in Urban and Regional Planning at KU Leuven (1986)
Damien Vanhoutte (°Kortrijk, 1963) studied architecture at the Higher Institute of Architecture Sint-Lucas in Ghent (1986) and sculpture at the St. Lucas Institute in Ghent (1983-1985)

They try to abstract, to achieve transcendence in their designs, always starting from a functional analysis of the program and the environment along with an artistic vision, to result in an authentic concept that is always linked to content and place.
